Our room is modern and fully equipped. All materials are the best available and used in accordance with the manufactures instructions.

Clinical Microscope
A clinical microscope is routinely used by endodontists to root fill teeth. This is advantageous as it illuminates and magnifies the tiny canals inside your tooth whilst carrying out this microsurgery. This is a massive advantage when trying to root fill back teeth. It is currently relatively unusual to use a clinical microscope for anything other than root fillings. However, Dr Smyth uses the microscope to assist him for all procedures including examinations, fillings, tooth preparation of crowns and bridge and so on.

Air Conditioned
We have air conditioning and a cushion for your comfort. It is common to feel a bit chilly when lying still for a long time and a blanket is available to keep you warm.

Comfort Breaks
During treatment you always remain in control and you may pause any procedure for a mini-break simply by raising your hand. There are natural breaks in most dental procedures and you are welcome to sit up and stretch your legs or visit the bathroom during these.

Aftercare
If you have had a procedure that is likely to cause post-operative pain we will give you advice and necessary painkiller medication. We often give patients a painkiller prior to dental treatment as this is shown to reduce post-operative pain.

Dental Hygienist/Therapist
Catherine is a friendly, professional therapist  who can help you achieve superb dental plaque control and maintain your gum health by carefully cleaning away hard deposits of calculus above and below your gums.

Dental Laboratory Technicians
Mr Kevin McKeeman fabricates all our crowns and bridge work. He is based in Kent and provides an excellent service. Mr Rowan Garstang fabricates our complete dentures and has a Masters degree in dental laboratory technology.
