About us
Dr Peter Smyth
Peter is from Widnes, Cheshire and was educated at Wade Deacon, Widnes sixth form, followed by St. Andrews and Dundee University. He was awarded a merit in prosthodontics (replacing missing teeth) and qualified as a dentist in 1992. For the first 10 years of his career he spent at least a quarter of his income on post-graduate dental training courses which eventually led to a masters degree in prosthodontics at Manchester University 2001.
He has an extensive experience of referral clinical dentistry and has worked at St Annes Dental Clinic in Manchester before setting up Cheshire Smile Clinic in Liverpool. The clinic name was inspired by the Cheshire cat, there are lots of theories about the Cheshire cat but we assume they were smiling because of the spilt milk from the Cheshire dairy farming. Peter has a childhood fear of the dentist and the clinic is dedicated to providing the highest quality dental care and the name is intended to set patients minds at rest and reflect Peter and Hannah’s friendly approach to providing what is after all difficult dentistry to restore our patients teeth, gums and make them smile.
Interests include photography, art, mountain biking, cooking, walking and classic cars.
